Not sure why Reilly feels compelled to wake me up a couple times/night when I'm on the couch. He's fine when I'm in the bed and doesn't bother anyone else. Not that I want him to bother anyone else... just wish he wouldn't bother me either!

Tired today. NOT looking forward to this storm they're forecasting for us. Blech! Need to get the AC unit out of the kids window. Also need to check the furnace filters. Another week to wait. Squee!

As the previous entry eluded to, we watched Transformers 2 last night. Thom's parents let the kids bring it home. Ugh. Just. Ugh. Have to agree... there was 1 good scene in the entire movie. So much of it seemed to be written/directed by a group of 13 year old boys (was it REALLY necessary to show balls on the big decepticon? Who cast the college girls - they all looked like icky). So between the horrible acting, massive inconsistencies and little to no plot, we decided it was like a porn movie.. only without naked people. BLECH!

Got on the Wii this morning. 1.5 pounds. I'll take it. Figured out that my mug doesn't hold as much as I thought it did. Oops.

Really not much going on today overall.

-- waiting to hear from Debbie and/or Doug on the house stuff.
-- waiting to hear back from jen on when Thom's riding lesson is going to be.
-- waiting to hear back from James about the problem I'm having with an SQL stored procedure.
-- waiting for the organizer of a conference call to get online
-- waiting for my mouth to stop burning. Note to self, next time just get the regular california rolls instead of the spicy ones!

Not sure what tonight holds... or really any other night. No huge plans in the works at all really, although there are some peripheral things in the realm of possibility. Mostly I just want to resolve the above. :-)

mmmm... sushi.

I have never once watched Dancing with the Stars. Closest I ever got was that last minute before Castle would come on. :-) I knew Donny Osmond and Kelly Osborne were in the finals through various sources. So after V last night we watched the live finale. Aside from all of the "let's drag this out as much as earthly possible" crap that they aired, it wasn't bad. Very much like an American Idol finale IMHO. There were good parts and bad parts. Good: the dancing was really good, Animal playing the drums!!, during the "how did I get here" recap watching Kelly's partner walk up to her house have Ozzy open the door and see the look on his face (priceless), Mya (who the hell IS this??) didnt' win. Bad: The Irving-Rice danceoff, Miss Piggy, Jerry Springer (Cloris Leachman wasn't good but at least her choreography was funny), and the whole Losers Club schtick. don't know who Mya is and don't care for her. don't think Kelly should have won but kindof wished she would have. Certainly seems like she's had quite the personal journey. Not sad to see Donny win... grew up watching the Osmonds (couldn't escape it in the 1970s in N. Utah!).

V was good... although I'm more than a bit irritated that they only aired what... 4 or 5 shows and now they're on hiatus til MARCH!? GRRR. Is it me or was Morena prettier when she played Inara?

Went to the barn and actually rode last night. Jen was doing a Lines & Circles flatwork group lesson with Ella, Shelby and Lilli (Ella's 9, Lilli's 6 and I think Shelby's 10 or 11). Jen let me ride Mac and I rode in the lesson too. I'm REALLY sore today. Wearing an IcyHot patch on my lower back and have bruises where the saddle was too narrow for my butt. Ouch. Need to do some stretching later and hopefully some therapy. :)

with any luck we'll be getting out early today, although i'm not expecting anything over an hour.

Turns out at least part of the reason we haven't heard from the mortgage broker is because HE'S IN THE HOSPITAL WITH PNEUMONIA! Evidently he was in/out not too long ago with his back and caught a bug that resulted in pneumonia. Don't I just feel like a schmuck.

Had fun at the barn on Saturday. Kids had a lesson with Jen, then I got to hang out and then de-mudded Yogi. THAT took an hour and it wasn't even a great job. No wonder Kristi wanted someone to groom him a couple times/week. Drove Jen by the farm. It's like 2 miles from her place. squee!

speaking of which... no news is good news, or so people keep telling me. Wish I could convince myself of that. I'm really twitchy about hearing SOMETHING right now. Let's face it... I like to plan stuff out and without any news, how can I plan? I keep staring at graph paper, pencil in hand, and drawing much of nothing. Just want to have a clue on timing.

Turns out my thoughts on a positive tax implication by taking the loss were wrong. Can't take a loss on your primary residence. Bummer. Oh well. That wasn't making the decision to sell anyway.

Thom and I are quitting soda (again). This includes Monsters and other energy drinks. Hopefully it will help. I don't think he needs much if anything... but as mentioned, I do.

Lost Z's babies over the weekend. She has sore hocks and was spending a lot of time laying in the nestbox. Not sure if she stepped on them, smoothered them, or if they just got cold. BUT at least I know she can still have them. Rebred her to Taz (finally!) and also bred Zoe for the first time (to Chester). she's a big and nice looking rabbit even if she DQs for shows (she had some white hairs).

Need to get busy on work stuff. Little motivation but it still needs to get done.

SO glad it's Friday. Not sure I could have done this another day. Definitely need a break.

No news on the house. :-( Emailed the broker today to ask what he thought our chances of closing by the end of December are (at least on the house). Looking at the tax implications (should help a LOT), my unused vacation days (which if not used by the end of Jan are forfeited), as well as general anxiety over wanting to start the negotiations on the farm. copied our realtor on the email and haven't heard anything from anyone... which is annoying to say the least.

Kids riding lesson has been moved to tomorrow morning. Not sure what's on the plate for tonight.

Z had a litter of 3 yesterday! Shocked me as I really thought there might have been some problems following her illness last spring. she aborted a litter during that time and although we've tried breeding since, she hasn't taken. This really was her last chance. 3 is better than none! Don't know if she's fed them yet but they were still alive and wiggly this morning so she's doing something right so far. She's typically a good mom, so here's hoping.

Work stuff isn't working. Grumble. it's really pissing me off too.

My amazon order came! I ordered "Follow My Leader" by James Galbraith (I think). I remember reading that when I was little and remember loving it. I also picked up a set of 6 Choose Your Own Adventure books. I liked them but my brother LOVED them. Kind of an early Yule present for the kids.

Not much else going on really.

Weekend was a good one, of course highlighted by seeing the new farm. B. came over on Friday evening (thankfully after cuddle time!) and brought GI Joe with him. Entertaining movie. I was never a hard core fan so I couldn't tell you the "differences" or artistic license that was taken with the movie that some would have issues with. It was a bit out there in places and a couple acting moments that could have been better (most of the cheesy lines really), but it was entertaining enough. Of course seeing it with B and Thom can be entertaining enough in its own right. ;-)

I was fairly lazy on Saturday. Saw the farm at noon and all our mental wheels were spinning after that. Thom tried to fix the kitchen sink that evening but otherwise, we were kinda quiet overall. I ended up staying up way late Saturday night. Oh, Chris and I discovered a reality show that we like - "Til Debt Do Us Part". CNBC has it -- 2 30-minute episodes each saturday evening. Basically, this financial guru comes in to couples who are in debt trouble and gives them small assignments (challenges) to do to help them figure out how to get out of debt and then she tweeks their details. Evidently this takes place over the course of a month... that's probably my biggest complaint of the show -- so much great information but in a 30 minute show it flies by and I don't feel they touch on a lot of stuff. it would be like shoving Super Nanny into 30 minutes. You barely get the idea of the bad when suddenly things are fixed and good (because we ran out of time). But overall... 2 thumbs up!

Tried to clean up the house a little on Sunday -- vacuumed the family room (the dogs... ok Reilly keeps bringing in dead leaves), did some laundry, etc. Went to the barn for a couple hours. One of Jen's boarders doesn't have much time when she comes out so she's offered to pay me $10 each time I want to come out and groom her horse for her. Evidently he likes to roll in the mud and she thinks if he can get groomed more often it will help her spend LESS time grooming and mroe time riding. Works for me!

This week... not sure what's going on really. Need to get some work done around the house (cleaning the kennel first). Hopefully we'll get some news on our house so we can start proceeding with the farm. The kids are getting a riding lesson this week... although I think it won't be til Friday. Definitely need to get some things at work done. Beyond that? who knows.

Been a fairly rough day. I'm ready to go home. Therapy is definitely on the menu.

Going to see the germantown house tomorrow. Digits crossed that the inside is decent. Of course we haven't heard a peep about the contingent contract on our place. Getting somewhat annoyed. Today that's bad.

Need to get back to work.

Final thought... some people are douchemuppets... and yes, they wear asshats.

Looks gloomy outside (which I see via my "window by proxy").  Oh well.  About an hour and I can go home ... which in and of itself is better.

Hitting a minor roadblock in my latest project.  Not sure how to make the query I want to do work.  Waiting for the DBA to get back to me with suggestions.

Triumph this past weekend was good.  Felt bad that Chris was in so much pain and especially on sunday couldn't do as much as she'd have liked.  Hit a couple glitches here and there - issues with the smithing system; people who claim to know the rules, have been told the rules and yet continue to violate the rules; having WAY too much food leftover; and getting used to the new barbarian fighting style.  Felt bad that i think someone who wrote one of the threads we were on heard a couple of us complaining about it afterwards.  It wasn't that it was bad... in fact, in hindsight it was pretty well done.  At the time it was a case of feeling like I didn't do anything because we worked so well together and things went smoothly!!  That will definitely take some getting used to!  Enjoyed the hell out of the crypo puzzle that landed in my lap from Valen (since I translated a couple scrolls very quickly last game).  It was a blast and I hope there's more of those kinds of puzzles.  I ALMOST had it completely translated by myself (after being given a possible first word) when someone from the other group that were translating together came over and read it to me.  Oh well.  I really was *THIS* close to being done -- of course then I would have had to translate it into magic since that's the only thing tonkala can write ;-)  speaking of which, I finally did some organization on all my stuff.  Put them into different categories:  Ingredients; Jewelry and Gems; MC and Sup; Keen plus and keep stuff; Mundane weapons and armor... plus the 2 groups of stuff I carry -- scrolls & potions and armor/weapons I have on me.  The fun part was putting a label on each of my piles... in Magic text.  Yep.. I'm a geek.  Anyway... enjoyed the various raids at the tavern, the dungeon we went on and the red thread a lot.  Could have used 3 less jerks on the red thread (the riding kind) but oh well... the other groups we encountered were great.

Heading to the barn tonight.  probably groom someone and might hop on for a short bit but mostly we're going for Thom's lesson.  Thinking if we can keep everyone riding this winter we might be able to do a trail ride this next year (if Jen will lend us horses of course).  That reminds me, I need to take a rabbit to Jen.

Tried to watch Castle last night but was really tired and sleep vibes from Chris made it impossible to keep my eyes open.  Big Bang was excellent as usual.  Looking forward to tonights episode of V.  I do kind of hate that I have so many shows I watch.  Cable is going up... maybe it's really time to cut the cord.

Dave Barry on horses: "You Take The Horse; I'll Gladly Take The Dog"

Knight-Ridder Newspapers

RECENTLY a woman I know named Michelle came into the newspaper office with a big ugly wound on her upper arm. Realizing that she might be self-conscious about it, I said: "Michelle, what's that big ugly wound on your upper arm?" Sensitivity is the cornerstone of journalism.

It turned out that Michelle had been bitten by a horse. It was her own horse, and it bit her while she was trying to feed it.

This is a typical horse maneuver. Horses are the opposite of dogs, gratitude-wise. You give a dog something totally wretched to eat, such as a toad part or a wad of pre-chewed Dentyne, and the dog will henceforth view you as the Supreme Being.

It will gaze on you for hours with rapt adoration and lick the ground you walk on and try to kill the pizza-delivery person if he comes anywhere near you.

Whereas if you spend hours grooming a horse and lugging its food and water around, the horse will be thinking: "Should I chomp on this person's arm? Or should I merely blow a couple gallons of horse snot into this person's hair?"

I don't trust horses. "Never trust an animal with feet made from the same material as bowling balls" is one of my mottoes. I never believed those scenes in Western movies when bad guys would tie the hero up, and his horse would trot over and untie the knots with his teeth. A real horse would size up the situation and stomp on the hero's feet.

I don't blame horses for being hostile. I myself would feel hostile toward somebody who was always sitting on me and yanking on my lips. But what I don't get is, how come they're so popular? Especially with women?

Now, you're probably saying: "Dave, you're just bitter because in fifth grade you had an intense crush on Susan Cartoun, and you wrote `Sue' on your notebook inside a heart, but the name inside the heart on her notebook was `Frosty,' an imaginary horse that she loved much more than you, despite the fact that, if Frosty ever had the chance, it would have got imaginary snot in her hair."

Yes, it's true that I am a little bitter about that. Also, I have not forgotten my first experience with a horse. I was 9 years old, at a farm, and I attempted to ride a pony.

"Pony" is a misunderstood word. Many young people, having grown up watching the "My Little Pony" cartoon show, believe that a pony is a cute little pastel-colored critter with a perky voice and a nurturing personality and a 1973 Farrah Fawcett hair style. Whereas, in fact, a typical pony is the same weight as an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme but with no controls or moral code.

Anyway, following my sister's directions, I put my foot into the metal thing hanging down from the pony (technically, the "fetlock"), and instantly the pony, not wishing to be boarded at that time, trotted briskly off, with my leg attached to it.

I attempted to keep up by bouncing next to it on my other leg, like the famous Western cinematic star, Hopalong ****, but finally, in a feat of astonishing equestrian skill, I fell down backward and got dragged across the field with my head bouncing gaily behind amongst the cow doots.

I could tell the pony enjoyed this immensely. It couldn't wait to get back to the stable and tell the other horses via Snort Language.

"You should have seen his hair!" snorted the pony. "He'll need to shampoo with industrial solvents!"

"Next time," snorted one of the older horses, "try stepping on him. It's like dropping an anvil on a Hostess Twinkie."

"And the legal authorities can't prosecute, because we're horses," snorted another.

So I stayed off horses altogether until 20 years later, when I was courting my wife. We were in the Rocky Mountains, and they had rental horses, and she wanted to ride one.

Naturally, she loves horses. As a child, she used to ride a neighbor's horse bareback, an experience she remembers fondly even though she admits the horse would regularly try to decapitate her by running under low tree branches at 27 miles per hour.

I don't want to sound like a broken record here, but why is it that a woman will forgive homicidal behavior in a horse, yet be highly critical of a man for leaving the toilet seat up?

But I was in Raging Hormone Courting Mode, meaning I would have wrestled a giant snake to impress my wife-to-be, so I let her talk me into getting on this rental horse.

It turned its head around and looked at me with one of those horse eyeballs the size of a mature grapefruit, and I knew instantly what it was thinking. It was thinking: "Hey! It's Hopalong ****!"

So while my wife's horse trotted briskly off into the scenery, looking for low branches to run under, my horse just stood there, eating and pooping, waiting for me to put one leg on the ground so it could suddenly take off and drag me to Oregon.

So I sat very still, like one of those statue generals, only more rigid. I'd say we moved about 11 feet in two hours. Next time I am definitely renting the snake.

Fortunately, my wife's horse was unable to kill her, and we got married and lived happily ever after, except that she keeps saying that she wants us to go riding again.

I don't know what to do. I think maybe tonight I'll fix her a candlelight dinner, give her some wine, and put on some soft, romantic music. Then, when the moment is just right, I will gently but firmly bite her upper arm.

The weekend was good.  More on that later.  I need to get some work done but I just found out that the Villa, when it didn't sell, was leased.  It's on a 1 year lease.  Not great news in that it's not available til next fall, but not the worst news since it COULD still be purchased... just not til next year.  Once we find out about the current offer on the table for our place, we can figure out if we want to wait or try to find another place.  But the possibility exists that we wouldn't have to rush into finding a new place now.  So... mixed bag but still kind of a bummer.

Debbie, our realtor, called late yesterday afternoon and said that she had gotten verbal confirmation from the other agent that yesterday's showing IS resulting in an offer.  She should have gotten it late yesterday or early today.  She's stopping by my office this afternoon sometime to go over it.  The only thing she knew when we spoke was that the buyers are first time buyers and thus will want to close by the end of the month.  So we'll see what they want when she brings the offer by.  I'm definitely excited, but a little nervous that they're going to offer less than we can accommodate (or want more on our end in terms of repairs, $$, etc.).

In the meantime, it turns out the the contract on the Villa has "expired".  Not sure what that means.  Here's hoping the owners still want it on the market.  Thom & I have looked to see what is out there and there isn't much in the way of houses we would want.  There are 2 that I want to take a look at.  One just on the east side of Farmersville... the other just off Manning outside Miamisburg.  The miamisburg (technically germantown) one is small... only a hundred plus sq ft bigger than we have now.  But 3 bedrooms and 2 baths... and its sitting on 18 acres.  The Farmersville one is sitting on 17 acres... 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and just over 2500 sq ft.

Anyway.  Doc thinks I just have  strained muscle.  Finally got my prescriptions filled after dinner last night.  Helped some.

Oh well... time to get some work done I suppose.

Yesterday... internets being up and down, called Time Warner.  Didnt' feel like dealing with them so Thom talked to them.  Made an appointment for a tech -- today somewhere between 10:30 and 1.

Remind thom of his dental appointment at 11.  Oh well... Chris will be there.

I call this morning at 9 and am able to get in to the doc for my shoulder at 11:20.  Leave work at 10:55.  Chris texts on the way to say that Bob is in labor but she's waiting for the cable guy still.  Before I can get to the appointment, the cable guy calls and is on his way.

Leave the doc just before noon and drive home so if chris can head to the hospital as soon as she can.  Get home about 12:10.  Chris is finishing lunch then heading out.  I put a hot pocket in the oven at 12:15.  Chris heads out about 12:30... I get to sit and watch a few commercials and then a few minutes of spin city while the kids get started on dishes.  Get up at 12:45ish and check the hot pocket.  Open the oven and bemoan the squash juice that ran across the pan to my hot pocket.  Start to walk around the counter to get a plate (cuz I just know the bottom of the hot pocket is going to be icky) and the phone rings.  It's Sibcy Cline... someone wants to show the house between 1:15 and 2:15.  Look at watch... it's now 12:48... but I can't say no!!  Say yes, hang up, and start the MAD FUCKING DASH to clean up.  OMG!!  Called thom and he got there within 5 minutes.  The kids were great and I think we got it almost all done before we had to get out of there.  Unfortunately, of course, in hindsight after the rush, you think of things that didn't get done -- under the sink where thom fixed on Friday is still a little messy... I forgot to put the guns away so they're still sitting in plain view (although up out of reach of most people -- including me!).

Got out of there about 1:20 and back to work.  Eating heated up leftover Texas Roadhouse country fried chicken (it's rather dry) because I forgot my hot pocket (although the oven IS off).  I swear my boss better not want much if anything today.  Asking could be a fatal mistake on his part.

That said... keep happy thoughts that they like the place.  A nice offer would be good too.

Not a whole lot going on really.  Got the training project online and it seems to be working although the owner wants a couple tweeks.  Egads.  Started back into the Truck Inventory project.  Not sure how i'm going to get it all done... unless by the gods everything works the first time (my nemesis is when I run into a coding wall... takes a while to figure out).

Watching way too much tv lately.  I know.. it's NCIS and I LOVE that show... but seriously.  We currently watch the Big Bang Theory and Castle... Survivor... got started on Stargate Universe and it will be a moral imperative to watch V when it starts as well as Caprica.  Add in all the USA reruns of NCIS and OMG that's a lot!!  At least it feels like a lot.  Plus there's always a movie here and there (on lazy days when Thom's not around I can easily find some stupid Lifetime movie to veg in front of... Chris doesn't make fun of me quite as much for it).

Have started running of all things.  Went monday and yesterday.  Not sure tomorrow will pan out as the forecast is for rain, rain and oh yeah... rain.  We'll see.  Been doing a good paced walked for 10 minutes... then 30 second run (aka jog)... 90 second walk to recover... repeat 4 more times ending with 30-60 jog then 10 minute walk home at a moderate pace.  Last night I upped the 3rd and 6th jog session to 60 seconds.  It's not bad so far and hopefully it will help.  I need to get back to tracking my food and being REALLY conscious of eating... because lately it's gotten worse instead of better (and so has my weight).  I know i can do this... I already have.  Not sure what my problem is lately though.

Dropped the price ont he house yesterday.  Not sure if it's been changed yet, but I gave the realtor the ok to do it.  Only $100 -- down to $79,900, but the change will push the listing up to the top again.  Hopefully we dont' hav eto do that much as there's not a whole lot of wiggle room since I'm already listing it for less than I owe.

Been wanting to go to the barn, but with teh kids recently being sick, I thought that probably wasn't the alltime best idea.  Maybe Sunday if I'm not sick by then.... which hopefulyl I won't be since I leave for Montana early Wednesday morning (like the flight LeAVES at 6am! yuk).

Ok... back to work for now.

Internet connection at home is shaky due to the router and/or power cord.  Got the desktop up yesterday but the laptop still isn't connecting.  TW is sending someone tomorrow.  Cable is still working, which on a lazy day is a good thing. :)

good weekend.  Got to KHP just after 3pm on Friday and somehow managed to find a parking spot.  I love KHP, don't get me wrong and I understand that they have a lot of work to do before the World Equestrian Games next September... but the place is a wreck right now.  They just hosted the WEG "preview" for endurance last week and MSEDA is a HUGE show (well over 400 horses showing total) so to have a parking nightmare is awful.  At least despite the cold and ick the show ran really well.  Mary and her crew are fantastic.

Anyway, so I missed Frankie's dressage.  It wasn't great but good enough to count as a qualifier.  Got to see her short jumping school with Cathy.  Damn that mare can jump!  Helped Hannah with Susie's tack while Susie walked the prelim course with someone else then met her at the start and walked the CCI* course.  Big and angles was the theme.  Overall it was a really good course though.  After that I went to the "mandatory rider meeting" which didnt' do much other than make a few of us in the back roll our eyes as the request for an option at one of the fences came up.  Oh please.  You're going to wait until 6:30 Friday night to ask about an option to a fence when you've been there since Wednesday????    After that was the T3DE "team" meeting.  Evidently at one of the early meetings when asked who brought grooms, there were a LOT of folks without help.  This meeting was to try and coordinate what help was there.  I offered and took note of the 2 riders who showed up.  Dorothy (lead clinician) was surprised that there weren't more people there.  Hit the campgrounds for an hour of sitting around a campfire, a bowl of home made chili and a cup of hot chocolate & Baileys.... then back to Susie's to crash on the air mattress.

Saturday was an early morning as Susie's ride time was 8:30.  She woke up late (evidently receiving a phone call - from me asking directions - cleared her alarm).  Hannah was already at the barn so they got Frankie ready as we piled what we might need into the Explorer and as Susie and Frankie headed to warmup, Hannah and I drove to the vet box.  Yay for drive-schlepping instead of walk-schlepping.  Frankie looked Fan-fucking-tastic!  Got to see the first loop out of the start box... the upper water (right in front of hte vet box) and the trip through the steeplechase infield -- which included off-set hedges and a HUGE ditch and wall (which had water running throught he ditch -- Susie fell into it early Friday when she walked her course).  Looked like Frankie slowed and balanced as she took note of the obstacle then sailed over it without a hitch!  The coffin was giving folks fits but evidently they did fantastic there.  got to see the last few fences and then she was done.  Double clear!!  Got Frankie untacked and walking.  Didn't do much water... a little here and there, but they released her after only a few minutes.  Drove the stuff back to the barn, unloaded it, ran to get a bag of ice for Susie at Devers, then loaded Natalie and Chelsie's stuff for the T3DE and drove back to the vet box.

Natalie's boyfriend and a friend of his were there to help as well, but again due to the cold weather we really didn't do much of anything with water, so I think a LOT of people lucked out when they didn't have much help.  They didn't NEED much help because even the vet techs were telling folks just to walk them out and not worry about water -- so really only 1 or 2 people were needed instead of 3-5.  Lucky for them!!  Natalie looked great and Teaser was more than ready to go back on XC.  Unfortunatley the end of the T3DE course was in the infield, so the riders had a walk to get back to the vet box to check out.  Nice for the horses and vets that by the time they got back, the horses really were almost cooled out.  vets kept them about 5 minutes, rechecked and I think everyone was released by that point.  In between Nat and Chelsie I tried helping 2 others.  One was and I believe still is completely clueless!!  Seems like a nice enough person but really... really... really clueless.  The type that muddles through anyway.  so I didn't do much with them.  I tried to give her hubby or whoever that was advice on getting things ready for her, but still... they both pretty much ignored me.  The other lady was very appreciative.  She was the rider's mom and didn't know anything.  I helped her when her daughter came in but again, because the horse only needed walking, she lucked out.  Dorothy finally showed up so I left them alone.  Chelsie was due in anyway and I took charge of Mickey who, while walking, was pulling like a freight train.  He was mroe than ready to go.  They looked good too.  A bit of a prop at the water (it was riding sticky for everyone) but they finished really well.  After unloading all the stuff back at the barn, I walked around a bit with Susie, tried looking up a couple people, grabbed a cheeseburger and then headed home.  Got home just after 4 and a hot shower was AWESOME!  Vegged the night away in front of NCIS with Chris, Rhowan and a sick Willow.  I just couldn't take being out int he cold anymore... so the haunt was out.

Woke up Sunday to some "fun". :-)  Didn't do much after that really.  Watched some Stargate Universe (it has potential and I like the EIi character -- reminds me of toffer from Dollhouse), crashed for a few minutes, ran to Time Warner to try and get a new router (they dont' carry the wireless routers at the care center), tried to do some bunny porn (uncooperative does for the most part), weaned some of the kits, pulled in all the peppers and any ripe tomatoes we have (shoudl have done that before getting my hands cut by bunnies as I was reminded that tomato juice is acidic!!) then we watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  Not being any kind of fan of the comics, it was a good movie.  I only have th other movies to compare to (and I dont' think I ever saw the 3rd movie anyway).  Early bedtime was a good choice too.  Although I woke up this morning to some weird Survivor dreams.  It was bizarre but I'll spare the details -- involved a challenge revolving aroudn chewing gum and matching the colors.

Planned to actually get up early this morning and go for a walk.  Frost on the explorer windshield actually sent me back to bed and I'll do my walk after work when it's A) warmer and B) lighter!!

Mostly packed and ready to head to KY this afternoon.  Need to pick up a few things at home, might need to hit the credit union, then head to Fairfield to see Thom real quick.  Still hoping to make KHP by 3.  Not braiding.  Plans change... no worries.  means I have more time to hang, maybe walk the XC course with Susie, and of course get vet box stuff ready for Chelsie.

Of course Frankie should have done dressage 20 minutes ago.  Here's hoping she did well and engaged the brain (which I guess according to Susie she didnt' have yesterday at the 1st jog -- cantering in place  EEK!)

Not sure I'll make the haunt tomorrow night.  Depends on how tomorrow goes and what time I get out of there and get home.  with Susie and Frankie being #7 and XC starting at 8... it's going to be an early morning.  We'll see how awake I am after being up long hours, working hard and being outside int he cold all day.  may end up just coming home and crashing.

Tired of making changes upon changes to this stupid training!  I need it to be DONE already.

My new jeans are comfy but they're a little stiff and poking me in the belly button.  hmmm.
